New Connections
Our connections service for new construction sites is aimed at developers, M&E consultants, architects and main contractors and avoids the traditional frustration associated with dealing with utility companies by providing a single knowledgeable point of contact. We offer the following construction services as part our quotation for commercial, industrial and mixed (commercial and residential) developments:
• Design and sizing of all pipes to current IGEM standards
• New connections onto existing gas mains in the public highway
• New on-site gas mains and services up to the meter
• Testing and Commissioning
• Liaison with Local Authorities, TFL, highway agencies etc
These services are packaged into a single quotation that delivers a complete commissioned gas network with ownership resting with National Grid or the Local Gas Transporter.
Pre-planning
As part of our Gas Connections service, we are able to offer a comprehensive planning and design service. This allows us to assist you through the pre-planning stage of the development by providing the following services:
• Information on the gas plant in the vicinity of your development, via email or post as required
• Quotations for the isolation of existing mains and services prior to demolition
• Confirmation of whether capacity exists in the existing gas network to meet your requirements.
• General advice and guidance on gas supplies, terminations, meters, governors and kiosks.
• Budget and firm quotations for gas connections from the mains network up to the meter and on through to the appliance.

To remain impartial and to enable you to take advantage of competition and where you can buy your gas, Squire Energy does not supply a gas contract. Following or immediately prior to the installation of new gas mains/services (by Squire Energy) we will provide a reference number that should be forwarded to your preferred gas supplier to arrange the contract and meter installation.
